Hi,
I have a problem with filename expansion when I'm in a script.
filename=/tmp/xxx.*([0-9)].log
If I run
ls $filename
This works fine.
But if I run this from a script
egrep bla $filename
I get invalid filename
What option could the admins be loading up when I run a script that
disables my filename expansion.
NOTE: I was looking for a way to look for a filename that contains an
unknown number of numbers *([0-9]) works well at the command line.
ZSH_VERSION 2.6 (Redhat 5)
/bin/ksh is linked to /usr/zsh and the first lien of the script must
be #!/bin/ksh
I'm looking for a work around if possible.
Thanks in advance,
Jerry
