Subject: newbie rm --^file question
Date: Sun, 25 Dec 2016 19:22:18 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <D6F66860-3528-4A5F-B5E0-7A25C1E6458E@pitt.edu> (raw)
Hi,
I am trying to delete all the files except a few files having the same file extension. I did the following;
setopt extended glob
rm -rf —^file.ext.*
This gives an error message, “zsh, no matches found:”
I would appreciate a poster as to what I am doing wrong.
Thanks in advance.
AH
