Folks,
I'm attempting to build zsh-4.3.2 under Slackware 9.0-beta on a
i686-pc-linux-gnu system, and test Y03 is failing. Is this a problem?
Here is the test failure:
/-----------------------------
bear:~/tmp/zsh-4.3.2% ./configure --prefix=$HOME/local
bear:~/tmp/zsh-4.3.2% make
bear:~/tmp/zsh-4.3.2% make check # test Y03 failed
bear:~/tmp/zsh-4.3.2% make TESTNUM=Y03 check
cd Test ; make check
/home/ead/tmp/zsh-4.3.2/Test

This host, bear, is at my ISP, and I connect to it via ssh. I use zsh as
my shell, there, via:
bear:~% cat ~/.bash_login
export PATH=$PATH:$HOME/bin:$HOME/local/bin
exec /home/ead/local/bin/zsh -l
bear:~% which zsh
/home/ead/local/bin/zsh
And my build of zsh-4.3.2 is taking place under zsh-4.2.5:
bear:~% echo $ZSH_VERSION
4.2.5
bear:~%
Regards and thank you,
Eric

It's certainly not supposed to happen. Is MULTIBYTE_SUPPORT defined in
config.h?

It is. Feel free to take a look at config.h, or anything else for that
matter, in the build directory <http://www.ixian.com/ead/tmp/zsh-4.3.2/>.
Following its creation, that directory has only had the commands noted
on lines 4-6 invoked within it:
1 ead% cd tmp
2 tmp% zcat zsh-4.3.2.tar.gz | tar -xvf -
3 tmp% cd zsh-4.3.2
4 zsh-4.3.2% ./configure --prefix=$HOME/local
5 zsh-4.3.2% make
6 zsh-4.3.2% make check
Regards,
Eric
