On 3.0.2 (under at least IRIX and Linux) commands like
print -P "%l"
fail mysteriously with
%l: could not read.
print -P consistently hangs my copy of 3.1.1, too. Anyone else see this? Is
there a fix?
TIA.

I'm now led to believe this is a false alarm. Thanks to those who replied.
