When I was maintainer, I used (X)Emacs and "add-changelog-entries".
I think Zoltan was also an (X)Emacs users, and might have used the
same.

I think there's also an rcs2log shell script buried in the X?Emacs library tree.

In emacs, you can do   CTRL-X v a   which makes all the ChangeLog entries
from RCS files.

Is there any chance to access articles by number? It is very often, that
somebody writes "it was done in article number ####" - but how should I
find it (without keeping the whole archive, which I cannot afford).

You can have the list server send them to you by sending a message like:

Subject: archive

help
get latest/1234
get latest/2345 latest/?
egrep archive latest/*
--- End example message ---

This would return (in separate messages) the archive instructions;
messages 1234, 2345, and 1-9; and the output of grepping for "archive"
in all the messages.

Just remember to send it to the -request address, not the list.

Has anyone heard from Zoltan lately?  It's been so
quiet around here (development wise).

It may be time for someone to start putting together
an (unofficial) patched version of zsh-3.1.x.  We need
to do something to get development moving again.

Zefram/Peter, do you have any free time?  :-)
