The configure script failed with the following messages: .... updating cache ./config.cache creating ./config.status creating Makefile sed: can't read :Makefile.in: No such file or directory creating Doc/Makefile sed: can't read :Doc/Makefile.in: No such file or directory creating Etc/Makefile sed: can't read :Etc/Makefile.in: No such file or directory creating Src/Makefile sed: can't read :Src/Makefile.in: No such file or directory creating config.h cat: :config.h.in: No such file or directory I wonder if something is wrong with my system configuration, or is it a real bug? I used autoconf before on the same machine, everything seemed to be all right. Regards, Dima. ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 4+ messages in thread

For a quick fix, use a different shell to do the configuring: bash ./configure ... say. zsh when run as sh apparently also works. ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 4+ messages in thread

Are you going to release your CVS/RCS tree too? The zsh-3.1.2 RCS is not even on the archive, which is strange since the zsh-3.1.1 RCS tree is there. The 3.1.2 RCS tree has 3.1.1 too. The 3.1.2 RCS tree can still be found at ftp://ftp.cs.elte.hu/pub/zsh-old/zsh-RCS.tar.gz Zoli ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 4+ messages in thread
