We probably ought to leave this for 4.2.1, now (that doesn't need to be quite as delayed as 4.2.0 was). There's no point risking breaking the make system somewhere at this point. I will try to get 4.2.0 out of the way this week; if we really need a small patch to it we can branch. pws
