zsh.mdh still needs munging. uuid.mdh still needs to be hand-crafted.
The module will work with 4.3.4 but not with the features_ stuff.
I envision a point where the following process is viable:
1) `make install-dev' or so from the zsh build installs the necessary
files into $includedir/zsh and elsewhere
2) user creates module.c, module.mdd, and configure.ac
3) script provided with zsh source generates Makefile.am, module.mdh,
acinclude.m4, and anything else which doesn't require thought
4) autoreconf, ./configure, and make builds working module
Perhaps something like Perl XS is also viable.
A stable, public module API might facilitate things.
