I updated the website for 4.3.17 [1], sorry for the delay. The
commits are in the public web repository [2] (dd6ab9f, 5063db9;
tag zsh-4.3.17). If you find any problems/mistakes please inform

Some people put there the whole release notes, others - just
version number.  For me version number is enough.

This is not about version information, this is about annotated
vs. lightweight tags.

Hi Alexey,

The tags are already annotated, in fact they are signed (which
automatically creates an annotated tag).

    $ git tag -v zsh-4.3.17
    object 5063db9e8b260864c1527f6cf44b4376546f9b09
    type commit
    tag zsh-4.3.17
    [...]

Just curious, but what is the advantage of annotated tags vs.
lightweight tags? (Ignoring the signing part here for a moment.)

After some thinking I found that out myself .. it describes the
signer and the date - and they can be signed.

Then please tell me the difference, I always thought -s would
imply -a - if that's wrong I want to know it.

I used the following command to create the tag:

    % git tag -s .. -m ".."

I just retried it (locally) with:

    % git tag -a -s .. -m ".."

But I can't see the difference.
