That's supported already:

       <<[-] word
              ⋮
              If <<- is used, then all leading tabs are stripped from word and
              from the document.

$ zsh -f
% cat <<-x
heredocd>       foo
heredocd>       bar
heredocd>       x
foo
bar
%
