Subject: Bug report: Strange behaviour of $SHLVL in subshell.
Date: Sat, 1 Nov 2014 15:31:21 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <6DD493A4-22A1-4DB9-9400-5B73559C6B0E@gmail.com> (raw)

Hi,

To me, the following is not logical/expected behaviour:

    $ echo $SHLVL
    1
    $ zsh -c 'echo $SHLVL'
    2
    $ zsh -c '(echo $SHLVL)'
    1

I’d just like to know if it is a bug, or has some kind of explanation.

Thanks,
Eliseo Martínez.
