I tried about 100 times but didn't get a crash. Do you get a core file after the crash? If not, I guess you need % ulimit -c unlimited Then could you send a backtrace form the core file? If possible, please build the zsh with './configure --enable-zsh-debug' which will give more informative backtrace.
