	brahma% grep -i euro /lib/unicode
	20a0	euro-currency sign
	brahma% unicode 20a0-20aF
	20a0 ₠	20a1 ₡	20a2 ₢	20a3 ₣	20a4 ₤	20a5 ₥	20a6 ₦	20a7 ₧
	20a8 ₨	20a9 ₩	20aa ₪	20ab ₫	20ac €	20ad ₭	20ae ₮	20af ₯
	brahma% echo $font
	/lib/font/bit/pelm/euro.9.font

seems the unicode for € is a bit consufused.

the 20A0 symbol is for an older EEC/EC unit of account that had more limited
usage than the current Euro (20AC) that possesses coins and notes, which
presumably now has replaced it except historically.
the symbols really are different, thus different code points,
although /lib/unicode probably ought to have an entry for the latter.

be nice if troff groked the UTF sequence. i think it's troff.
well, it groks it, but either it or page go gaga.

i'm no longer drawtermed there to test it.

it's tr2post, which needs a postscript version of the character.
there's a euro-site that gives the amazing rules for forming the symbol
(protractors at the ready, gentlemen!) which might also have ready-made
postscript for conversion to whatever tr2post might expect.
there might also be a newer version of /sys/lib/postscript/font/lsunr20.pfa
that includes it.
