Please don't think establishing a japanese 9fans list as splitting.
There are certain numbers of people who are reluctant or unable to
read/write foreign languages.

However, such people cannot develope Plan 9.  Please don't confuse
"develope" means writing program.   Developping is a design thing,
I believe.

If we can force Rob to speak/write Japanese, it's the best way for
Japanese.   Unfortunately, Rob must be busy for more important
things, I suppose.☺

you have no idea of the difficulty of the problem.  english is easy to
learn.  japanese takes ~5 times as long to learn as any 'european'
language and THAT is before your come to the the writing:

    - romaji
    - hiragana
    - katakana
    - kanji 800/2000/6000

and then there's technical japanese.

not to mention all the business protocol.

When I was a grad student at Kyoto Univ., I was taught from my supervisor
we should contact with the original author not second one when we have
to learn somthing.   This is very important point here.
Here, we can contact with those persons, we lost Ken, however, Rob is
still responding to our questions, and others.    When you find something
such a good question,  who can reply in "Japanese mailing-list"?

In a natural case of such mailing-list, there would appear someone
who can write Japanese behave like an expert of Plan 9, and say
others "Ken said something....", in fact, s/he has no relation to Ken.
Others who never read such that of this mailing-list think it may be.
That's a usual story of such mailing-list.

Be carefull all persons here what are they told in 'isolated' mailing-list.
Isolated from the persons who cannot read Japanese, but developping
Plan 9.
