Subject: [9fans] Network problems
Date: Mon, 30 Sep 2002 15:58:33 -0700 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <017101c268d4$e73fd1b0$540da8c0@HPN5415> (raw)
I've successfully installed P9 from the latest ISO, but have not been able
to get it to use my network card, a Linksys Etherfast 10/100 PCI card.
I added the line:
ether0=type=ec2t
to plan9.ini and uncommented the DHCP config lines in /rc/bin/termrc.
I also tried setting the ether type to 2114x as suggested in earlier posts,
but w/out success: ip/ipconfig complains on boot that /net/ether0 doesn't
exist.
Ideas? Or, assuming this card is unsupported, recommendations for
inexpensive Ethernet cards known to work?
Thanks,
John
