Do you have a keyfs running and mounted in your namespace when you
do the changeuser?

Hi,
trying to get an auth/cpu server going [on the way to a full fs/auth/cpu
setup - I finally have all the bits ]
followed the wiki instructions but after I boot with my 9pcauth kernel and
enter the
authid: bootes
authdom: punx
secstore key: pass phrase here
password: bootes_password
when I go to do auth/changeuser bootes after entering the details I get :
changeuser: can't create user bootes: access permission denied
with or without disk/kfscmd allow
any pointers?

I'd typed aux/keyfs ... instead of auth/keyfs ....
that's kept me going for a good three hours
now for the file server, wish me luck, judging from the wiki instructions
I'll need a few bags of it

here is the /rc/bin/cpurc entry for my cpu/auth server at home.
note the keyfs and the listens. the cron is also useful.
this one also acts as dhcp/boot server
switch($sysname){
case lavoro
ip/dhcpd
ip/tftpd
ip/httpd/httpd -d $facedom
auth/keyfs -m /mnt/keys /adm/keys
auth/cron >>/sys/log/cron >[2=1] &
aux/listen -q -d /rc/bin/service -t /rc/bin/service.auth il
aux/listen -q -d /rc/bin/service -t /rc/bin/service.auth tcp
