Subject: [9fans] WHY two different methods of mounting (ext2srv vs. cdfs) ?
Date: Fri, 26 Nov 2004 12:58:37 +0100 [thread overview]

hi !
i wonder why ext2srv and cdfs differ in method of mounting?
ext2srv when run posts fd in directory /srv and user can use this
/srv/ext2 descriptor to mount a linux partition somewhere in system
for example /n/linux
BUT
cdfs doesn't place any fd in /srv and automatically mounts itself
to /mnt/cd using default device /dev/sdD0.
WHY these two fileservers differ?
thanx for answers.
sasa babic.
