Remember discussion about tailoring Plan9 kernel for Intel SMP... Any
progress yet?

I have run with success some stuff written by miller@hamnavoe.demon.co.uk
(at least until my 2xPRO MB went belly-up (feh) ). It's not fully
symmetric (interrutps are caught on a single proc) but it is quite
satisfactory performance-wise and stable. Might be a place to start.

In April I reported that I had a version of Plan 9 running on dual Intel
processors. Since then I have incorporated the Brazil APIC code,
kindly supplied by jmk@plan9.bell-labs.com, so that interrupts are now
distributed across all processors, and it should run on any IMPS-compliant
configuration.
I have just (today) received a newer version of the Brazil APIC code, so
I would like to check whether anything needs updating before I release
the SMP kernel. But if you are impatient to try it, please let me know.
