Look at the Bimm flag for putbuf() and when that flag is set
and you will see that the answer is yes.

Can anyone inform if Plan 9 file metadata operations are
synchronous? We benchmarked reasonable figures for file
creation/deletion (~8 and 4 ms for 0 byte size files).
