Yes. It does look real nice.

> How about the speed
It seems as zippy as any build of Inferno I've ever played with native
or emulated. The shots are not from a native version. I have not performed
any real speed analyses.

Since we are on the topic of Inferno, I'll give you a detailed rundown
of what my impression of R3 is:

I received my academic version yesterday. The packaging is as good
as anything I've ever seen. Compared to the Release 1 package I got
at Lucent and the Release 2 package that was donated to stricca.org,
R3 is miles ahead. Of particular note is the binding of the manuals. R1
and R2 manuals were notorious for falling apart.

The theme of "The":
The Box The Manuals The Papers The History ... The Poetry.
The Packaging was done with much wit ;)

I could say much more, but to summarise I regard this as the first
"Commercial Grade" release of Inferno.

Yeah, it looks nice, feels something like Windows though. ☺
How about the speed performance of Inferno on top of Plan9?
Is that a native version?

Hello

I believe this might interest folks here.

I have put up screenshots of the third release of Inferno
running on Plan9 at:

	http://www.stricca.org/images/infr3shot-2.gif
	http://www.stricca.org/images/infr3shot-1.gif

For the image infr3shot-2.gif, note the command typed
at the shell prompt ;) I will post more images when I have
less rabbiting to do. All in all, "The Box" with "The manuals"
and "The Papers" is "The best!".
