in the pcdisk configuration, we've got ppp.root,
and /ppp does indeed show up in the #/ device in
the resulting kernels. but how do i use it? based
on what i could trace in the mkfiles, it seems to
use the same ppp code as the user-level stuff, but
i couldn't figure out the specific incantation.
