It runnes fine, if your hardware has Soundblaster Pro support.
I'm using this for listening CDROM by Rus's acd at home on "Kotatsu".  ^_^

I haven't re-done the soundblaster pro stuff for 3rd edition Plan 9.  Perhaps Kenji has?
