Don't know if that's your case but my ext2srv
seems to work properly if I don't get too deep in the
directory hierarchy of the ext2 partition. It seems
to have problems with some directories; perhaps they
changed ext2 and ext2srv didn't notice.

Ooooooooops! the problem is not in the ext2srv, as I can r/w ext2 formatted diskette. 
So what's wrong with
/dev/sdC0/linux ?
