Has anyone here downloaded the volume 2 papers from the web site recently? The Acid Manual paper (acid.[ps|pdf] )seems to have been rendered on a machine without the sans-serif italic font used for code samples, leaving gaps such as (on page 1):
... using the support provided by (1) ...
There are better examples on pages 6-10, where the syntax description is completely unreadable. The version provided on the CD is fine, however. Is this by any chance the ellusive CS troff font used by sam.tut?

I think I've fixed acid.pdf.
I don't think acid.ps was broken.
