That it's fallen off the side of the desk and is banging against a metal
filing cabinet?

Or maybe Lucio is just applying an aural term to the visual domain to
describe the movement of the mouse cursor on the screen.  The movement
is harsh, jerky, and discordant with respect to the motion of the hand.
Action and reaction are inharmonious.
