I'm still confused.  What does it mean for a mouse to be harsh-sounding,
inharmonious, and discordant?  Well, I guess in acme, discordant might
have a meaning.

I thought it meant, ``like a bell''.  I suppose I'm wrong.

Btw- I've seen this behavior on my Thinkpad, which has a built in PS/2
mouse.  I don't think it's in the serial driver.
