Hi,

I have two kernels, pcf and pcauth.

In ndb the line for the local machine has two attributes, sys and
ether. The IP address comes from DHCP. ip/ipconfig is run
from *rc scripts without parameters.

sys=xotic ether=0060978aca94

The host name is not recognized from the DHCP response, but the
IP is.

This setup works with pcf, that is, the network comes up and dns
is functional.

With pcauth, however, the network does come up, but dns refuses
to work, unless I addd ip=192.168.1.28 to the line for xotic.

The relevant contents of cpurc and termrc seem to be identical;
what am I missing?

David
