Wow.  No big blackouts here, just lots 'n lots of little ones.

Here in the third world...Ok, Melbourne, Australia, I'm lucky if the PC at 
home runs for four weeks without a power outage that forces a reboot.  They 
might only be momentary, maybe upto few seconds, but resetting every clock in 
the phone, the microwave, the alarms, etc, around the place is getting to be 
a major pain.

The wonder that is our privatised electricity network, maximum profit, minimum 
maintenance...
