I happen to have a chance to test this on another machine, which
has ps/2 interface on board. Dell's has no ps/2 interface.

The machine having ps/2 interface DOES boot with usb kb/mouse
without ps/2 kb/mouse attached.

Some motherboards (I don't know about Dell) have a special setting
to enable different mouse protocols at boot time. Look for
something like "usb legacy support".

I have also seen this affect USB keyboards (on Linux). Enabling it helped.

HTH,

No, it has no such a menu, which says usb kb/mouse will work alwayes.

By the way, 9front runs on this machine...

The usb kb/mouse are working fine during installation of the system,
however, after rebooting from the installed HDD, both don't work.

I can see glenda rio start window well, but mouse and keyboard
don't work.

I see some error message like, didn't detect ehci within 500 mS.
My PC is DELL's small desktop with i5-2340(?).

Kenji,

Offtopic.

I got your first email. I'll take a look at it if you have a problem, and If you can be more specific it will help me debug.

Thanks,
