Hello 9fans,
I've been offered a Sun IPX with 19" monitor for £100
I notice some people have been on about sparcs recently and do I
gather that if I had a second ed license I could run 3rd ed on 'em?
Can I still buy a 2nd ed license?
Really what I'm asking is would it be worth buying one for plan9?
I know I could probably get a pentium for the same but that isn't
the point. It's a genetic diversity thing.

There is no 3rd edition kernel for Sparc. The 2nd edition source
is available on our web page, but it's a long pull from there to a
running system.
I'm not certain, but I think the 2nd edition is sold out. Anyway,
you don't want it.
Make yourself and others happy by doing the update.
