Moin,
I try to setup plan9 on my new server but on boot I get
cannot add sdC0!plan9 [63,321576705] to disk [0,268435455): partition
boundaries out of range
The problem is also desribed in
http://groups.google.de/groups?threadm=20031022154323.GY834%40cassie.foobarbaz.net
Does it help if I create smaller partitions? Is there another
solution? My plan9 disk is from July 2004.
Matthias

Are you using the current 9load from sources?
There was a fix recently to try to cope with very large discs.

I had the same problem on an Shuttle AMD64 machine with a 200 GB hard
drive. I'd recommend upgrading your BIOS first. Then if you still have
the same problem, then try my suggestion below.
The error message that I received occurred just before the
[bootsetup]: prompt. My believe it or not fix is to start the install
with a current plan9 CD, then paused the installation one prompt
before where the error message occured and go to work for 9 hours.
Then come back and continued the installation. The remainder of the
install for me was error free. This worked fine for a Plan 9 install.
Now, that is strangest Plan 9 trick that I've had to do yet, but it
worked. YMMV. ;)
