I am writing this concerning updating the manual pages and other documents.
To whom should we send the updates to? And which document format is preferred?

i use patch(1) to update/add those things too.

	manual pages are man(6) troff
	documents are typically ms(6) troff
sometimes with eqn, pic, tbl preprocessing

also see /sys/man/mkfile and /sys/doc/mkfile (and mkfiles in subdirectories).
the latter generates .ps and .pdf files from troff as required.

If you made changes to your local system, you can use the patch(1) tools to
put them onto sources.

Document format for man pages is man macros for troff/nroff. It is
decribed in man(6).
