[9fans] Install problem

i wants to install plan 9 on my machine, but it doesn't seem to work.
every time i boot with the istall floppy , i receive the following
lines.

rio: can't open display: initdisplay: /dev/draw/new: no frame buffer
init: rc exit status: rc 14:cpurc 14:rio 54:rio 55:display open

then the % prompt appears instead of the install screen. would
somebody tell me what is the problem and how to handle it ?

Your video card is not compatible with Plan 9.

This simply means that your graphic card isn't identified in vgadb. This
can be fix. Please, take a look at plan9 install documentation at
troubleshooting for more details.

Isn't it also possible that the card is just plain-old not supported?
