That's what Windows 64bit edition does too.
I believe it's called LLP64. [LONG LONG and pointers are 64bit]
The more common one is LP64 [Long and pointer are 64bit]
I think alpha did ILP64 [int's longs and pointers are 64bit]
There is a really good page on this stuff somewhere
