i'm not sure this solves the problem. you'll notice that, e.g.
sending mail will fail in the same way.

If dnsquery has to mount /srv/dns, it gets a bit confused:
term% unmount /srv/dns /net
term% ndb/dnsquery
can't open /net: '/net' dns: permission denied
term% ndb/dnsquery
