What are the extra carriage returns for?

due to a mishap i only got ssl-less binaries on my web page.  please
download again if you want to use devssl...

as for carriage returns, i seem to get them added by procmail in some
magic way, they don't appear if my mail goes directly through a Plan 9
server.

i've submitted a patch bringing drawterm in compliance with Plan 9's
special character handling -- the latest recompilation of
rio/acme/vnc[vs] and friends will cause them to misinterpret the old
down-arrow key.

new binaries for freebsd and linux (sorry, no windows around)
are available at:

	http://pages.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/~mirtchov/p9/

the binaries also include David Tolpin's patch to accept UTF-8 input
from X (see below).
