I'm guessing, based only on the fact that abaco stops loading
http://www.nationalreview.com right at the first occurrence of ''
that it takes that character to indicate the end of the page or
something. I thought it would be within my ability to look at sources
and make abaco at least ignore that character, but I haven't managed
so far. Anyone have a simple solution to this?

Thanks.

Greg

have you updated reciently? there were some problems with libhtml that
caused many pages to be truncated. wikipedia, for instance. my abaco
does just fine, but it has a number of differences with the one on sources.

I think so. Abaco is the latest unless it exists somewhere other than
/n/sources/contrib, and my sources are replica-ted and I built
libhtml. I'm not having trouble with many pages other than
nationalreview.

I browsed through some wikipedia pages just to check that out, and it
worked OK. Today's selected article is on Dog Day Afternoon. I may
just have to order it from Blockbuster Online; I haven't seen it in
ages.

can you give me a specific page that fails? have you rebuilt
abaco since 20060910? i put my copy of webfs and abaco on
sources as /n/sources/contrib/quanstro/myabaco.tbz. does that
webfs+abaco work for you? does that abaco with the system
webfs work for you?

Thanks for the help. The only specific page I have had trouble
loading is http://www.nationalreview.com.

Just to make sure I was really up to date with abaco, I did gunzip <
/n/sources/contrib/fgb/abaco-test.tgz and made that. 8.out
http://www.nationalreview.com loads a small portion of the page and
stops.

Your abaco worked with my already running webfs as well as with the
webfs you provided. Unfortunately, once you get to that home page,
you can't get to the articles by the links provided. They have
clearly chosen some sort of bizarre navigation scheme there, but
getting to that page is a definite improvement.

Thanks again.

Greg

interesting. perhaps there are some important abaco changes that i didn't give
back to fgb.

the non-js navigation works for me. obviously, js doesn't work.

http://news.google.ca/ results in:

abaco 16776: suicide sys: trap: fault read addr=0x57 pc=0x0003b42b

This is with abaco-test.tgz pulled from contrib yesterday.

could you do an lstk() on that broken process from acid?

i hate to do this. could you try the binary i put in contrib. i'm a bit
fuzzy on what i did in july, but i changed some of the page loading dance due
to some timing issues. this may address your problem.
