Greetings all.
Booting up 9atom.iso fails on my hardware. I downloaded the latest
from the ftp site:
-r--r--r-- 1 none none 298452992 May 30 09:57 9atom.iso
$ shasum 9atom.iso
53f79e7e152be2d68f578cd86198807d06fdbd3a 9atom.iso
The Plan 9 startup menu comes up fine. However after selecting root it
crashes. Here is the last screenful of console output:

The CDROM drive where I am booting is PATA primary master. The hard
disk is connected to the first SATA port on the motherboard.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

that was unexpected! this is my fault. i've fixed
it now, but i think your machine will still panic
when initing the 8169 nic. i'll take a look at that
tomorrow.
i would appreciate any output you've got.

yup. the mac version isn't yet recognized, even by linux.
(if it does work, the default case is doing a good job.)
i'll try to fix that later today.

okay. there's a new 9atom with a new, and hopefully correct,
fix for the ahci problem. the problem was that you have two
ahci controllers with different capabilities. i wasn't taking that
case into account. let me know if i've broken everything again.
i've also made an attempt to recognize your ethernet
controller. no promises whatsoever. i have no docs
and i don't have that hardware. but the patented guess-o-magic
technique has produced positive results in the past, so
it's worth a try.
if you can get just the kernel onto your plan 9 install, you may
be able to download just a new kernel, in the same directory as
the full iso.
