Using ip/ppp on the raspberry pi's serial port connected to a
plan 9 server, I can boot with rootfs coming from the server,
and cpu in to the pi. Not ethernet speed but it works for
experimenting.
I was only able to do this by adding a 'no authentication'
option to the server side of ppp, having failed completely
to figure out what password(s) to configure on each side
of a ppp connection to make it work. I've used ppp in the
distant past to connect to a dial-up ISP, but never used
Plan 9 ppp in host mode. Can anyone with recent experience
enlighten me?
