Hi List,
when I run a program involving the network (i.e. ip/ping), I get a
strange message that I have never seen before. It is something like:
"program dns wrote 'oldheaders' to udp ctl file; fix or recompile it".
What are 'oldheaders'?
What should I do?

It's an obsolescent UDP control message. You should either pull a new
dns binary or pull new dns sources and recompile your dns binary.

Ok. I recompiled the dns binary from the sources taken in
/n/sources/plan9/sys/src/cmd/ndb/*, but the message still appears.
Any other suggestions?

that's not the only program that was using oldheaders.
ip/ipconfig is another culprit.
