I have a nice P4 laptop with USB floppy which I'd like to use for Plan 9.
It also has a CDROM.
What's the best way to get Plan 9 on this beast? Is there a recommended
CDROM image for loading it up? I need to build it up as an auth/kfs/dhcp
server.

use the install cd. it's bootable.
you might try just booting directly
from it (you get a choice) to make
sure the vga is supported.
don't bother with the usb floppy.
