Uhm, are you saying plan9 is bloated?  (not that there aren't
trimmable parts, but comparing 9bloat to Winbloat is just
silly)

That'll be the day, when a full development system runs on an 8-bit
part.  Besides, systems of that nature typically require a
special purpose OS anyway (if one at all) to achieve any decent
performance in functionality.  Why port plan9 when you can
write your own?

Call me crazy, but it sounds like what you need isn't plan9, it's
inferno.  For the record, it doesn't have cp -R either.
