ok, I've seen a few other problems I ought to mention.

First, the sdC0/fossil partition gets created, but all the boot stuff
expects sdC0/fs. No big deal for now, I just type in the real path.

Except for just a minute ago, typed in local!#S/sdC0/fossil and it
panic'ed complaining it could not connect to fossil. hmm.

Second, plan 9 does not really know about the 1022/746b irq router (AMD
SOUTH). FWIW, this is pretty much the same thing for programming as the
756, 766, and 768 routers, i.e. 740b, 7413, and 7443 dev no. I fix linux
all the time by just adding the 1022/746b to the irq router list.

Third, when I do finally get the 2-cpu AMD node up, in 32-bit mode, it
will hang. Fossil is running as shown by ^T^Tp. I *think* the issue is
that there is no driver for the BroadCrap NIC, as I plugged in an eepro100
NIC and it seems to get further, but ...

it gets fp exceptions. It's also unhappy (of course) that venti is not
running, except it does not start up venti. Not sure why this is
happening, the VESA ISO is the first time I hit this problem. More as I
find it.

I'm not sure how much of this fun is the fact that i'm doing this on AMD
Opteron boards; it is reminiscent of the old days of Red hat when the
install on K7 would go fine, but the installed kernel would not boot.

ron
