I tried to compile under Sparc-Solaris using mk from
plan9port, changed cc to gcc in mkfile-Solaris
but it complians about options:
  -xCC and -Xa
as unrecognized options..

If you're going to use GCC, why not use the options from the Intel
platforms?

I suppose I ought to have said "try" rather than "use".

plan9port is working on Sparc box (Sun Blade-100), so, idea
is to compile drawterm for this box.

Oh, I meant that the Intel platform options for GCC are likely to work
on the Sparc too. Better than the options for the Sun ANSI C
compiler.

at http://www.cs.utwente.nl/~belinfan/plan9/drawterm-makefile-solaris
you will find a makefile I think I have used to compile drawterm
on solaris. it's dated 2002, and the mk-solaris(sp?) in the same
dir is from 2000, so it is dated. nevertheless, it may provide
inspiration...
One thing to note: in our local setup the X11 stuff is in
non-standard place /Window/X11; you will have to tweak that.

Axel.
