for some reason adding a user added to /adm/keys a few days ago also
added 11 bogus entries to my /adm/keys file. i submitted a patch with
some defensive code (perhaps not defensive enough) to protect against
this.
bad entries in /adm/keys will cause /mnt/keys to contain illegal file names.
and could cause keyfs to segfault since it did not ensure null termination
of names.
this problem has been causing odd problems for about a week. naturally, it
would be better not to corrupt the file in the first place, but at least
this is a bit of defence until the real problem is located.
