you don't have to start rio on drawterm. that's controlled by your profile.
comment out these lines from your profile if you don't want
rio:
case cpu
...blah blah blah...
if (! test -e /mnt/term/mnt/wsys) {
# cpu call from drawterm
exec rio
}
