Hi,
I'm trying to install plan 9 on a pristine 8GB hd.
Everything goes OK until after logging in as 'glenda'
the message 'dossrv: serving dos' comes in: then, yopu can see
rio, acme, etc... coming up, but intermingled with areas
showing the black background. I encountered (and solved, with the
help of 9fans (THANKS!)) exactly the same problem in the past: I
can't recall exactly, but it was probably sthg like switching off
the hw accel, or such. Unfortunately, I am not able to locate the
proper message on comp.os.plan9 archives, so I ask for a help again,
sorry.
My previous disk still contains working plan9 system that runs even
in 1024*768*32 regime, so that the problem should not lie in the
video card hw.
(If only I knew where the config files reside, I could mount the new
disk and copy them there...)
P.S.: my video card is S# ViRGE/GX2 OnBoard.
