that's the error the drive is reporting.
usually i take it as a hint that:
1. you just made a coaster
2. next time you should try burning
at a lower speed.

Which reminds me to ask, how do I translate 1x, 2x, 4x, ... into
speed kpbs suitable to echo into /mnt/cd/ctl?
