First of all: hello,

I (and some people from #plan9 on freenode) would like to know what version
my Plan9 cd is. How can i find out? I meant its 4th edition but the people on
#plan9 told me that the cd is build dayly so i dont know which version i have.

TIA David

PS: it would be very good to write on the homepage that plan9 is still in
development because I (and some others) thought its still the same version
since 4th edition came out.

You could look at the mtime on the ISO image:
the date you downloaded it is a good approximation
to the date it was created.

You could look at the dates on the files in /dist/replica,
specifically plan9.log and plan9.db.

You could md5sum or sha1sum the ISO image
and compare against http://plan9.bell-labs.com/plan9checksums.txt

Russ
