Hello again,
O'Reilly's Samba book has a section I use as a bible when setting up
new servers:

Other than confusing RAID 0 with RAID 1, I've found its estimates to
be extremely reliable.
Given that disk I/O can be a huge bottleneck for servers, does Plan 9
have support for any of the striped RAID flavors? Excuse me if this
is a mundane question. I have yet to set up a Plan 9 file server, but
didn't see it covered anywhere in the FAQ.
